Chris QuiltyChris Quilty is the founder and a partner of Quilty Analytics, which is an independent boutique offering subscription research, strategic advisory, and investment banking services across all aspects of the Satellite & Space industry.
Prior to establishing Quilty Analytics in 2016, Chris served as a sell side research analyst with Raymond James for 20 years, publishing hundreds of company-specific, macro, sector, and thematic research reports on the industrial, defense, space, wireless, and communications industries. Chris is widely-acknowledged as the leading Wall Street analyst on the Satellite & Space sector, and has participated in 30+ capital markets transactions over the past five years valued at over $2.5 billion.
Chris received a BS degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1989 and an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1994.
Justin CadmanJustin Cadman is a partner with Quilty Analytics. He has more than fifteen years of investment banking and capital markets experience, having successfully completed approximately 90 advisory and capital raising transactions for both private and public company clients.
Prior to Quilty Analytics, Justin spent twelve years as an investment banker with Raymond James, with the last eight years focused heavily on clients in the Satellite & Space ecosystem, where he has completed more than 30 transactions across most industry sub-segments. Justin is a frequent speaker at leading Satellite industry conferences and he leverages his wide network of industry contacts to deliver differentiated results to clients.
Justin began his career in software equity research and has held corporate finance roles at a leading public wireless infrastructure company in the U.S. He received a BS degree in Finance with Honors from the University of Florida.
Lee PriestLee Priest is an advisor with Quilty Analytics. He has extensive industry investment banking experience having advised on over 50 transactions representing over $5 billion in transaction value. His industry experience includes extensive work with clients in Satellite & Space related sectors including satellite communications, defense electronics, government services, signals intelligence, and aerospace.
Over a 20 year investment banking career, Lee has advised on a range of complex middle transactions, including go-private, takeover defense, and SPAC transactions, as well as numerous sell-side and buy-side M&A assignments and public and private capital raising.
Prior to joining Quilty Analytics, Lee served two years as a public company CFO. He also served 8 years active duty as a commissioned officer and naval aviator in the U.S Navy He holds an Aerospace Engineering degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
Jeff ThobenJeff Thoben is an Associate with Quilty Analytics supporting the firm’s financial and strategic advisory practice across the Satellite & Space sector.
Prior to joining Quilty Analytics, Jeff co-founded YouCanJet, a SaaS based private jet charter application which he led through its early development. Jeff began his career at UBS, working with institutional and high net worth clients across their asset management needs, with a particular focus on private and corporate aircraft financing solutions.
John HolstJohn Holst is a senior analyst for Quilty Analytics. In the previous five years, John’s research of the global space industry informed his writing and analyses in The Space Report for the Space Foundation, influencing Space Foundation leadership, local – and national – level politicians, and industry leaders.
Prior to the Space Foundation, John worked five years as a systems engineer and University Affiliated Research Center space mission operations planner for the Missile Defense Agency’s satellite programs. For the prior 11 years, John conducted thousands of hours of space operations as an Air Force officer. John accepted his BAS from the University of Washington.
Peter GairingPeter Gairing is the Managing Director of Quilty Analytics institutional sales. He has 40 years of capital markets and investment banking experience. He was with Raymond James Financial as a Managing Director of Institutional Sales for 34 years.
In the 1980’s, Pete led Raymond James’ efforts in Europe and opened London, Edinburgh and Aberdeen in the United Kingdom. He has participated in 100+ capital markets transactions representing over $10 Billion in value. He received a BS degree in Finance from Florida State University.
